Hello, I’m Reisky Khoelius, an enthusiastic and experienced UI/UX Designer. Welcome back to another one of my case studies. This time, I’d like to discuss the 100 Daily UI Design Challenge that I’ve been participating in recently. Each design has a story behind it, and I hope to inspire you with the creativity, perseverance, and dedication that I pour into every project of mine.

Description

Whats Daily UI is? Daily UI is a challenge I took on to improve my UI design skills and explore creativity in the world of user interface design.

This challenge involves creating 100 different UI designs within a certain period, with each design introducing unique challenges and opportunities for learning and growth. By taking on this challenge, I am committed to consistently developing my design skills, exploring various styles and trends in UI design, and challenging myself to think outside the box.

This challenge also provides me with the opportunity to receive feedback and insights from the design community, as well as build a strong portfolio that reflects my abilities and interests in user interface design. In this project, I’m not only striving to produce aesthetically pleasing and functional designs, but also improving my skills using Figma, and sharing my process and learnings with readers so that they too can be inspired and learn from my experiences.

Process and Methodology

In this case I create a daily schedule that provides time for research, ideation and design implementation. Not only that, I also make a weekly schedule that includes important milestones and progress evaluation.

Source of Inspiration

When I feel stuck, I always look for sources of inspiration to see the design that I will work on, of course with the help of several platforms. but I always use two platforms for inspiration, namely behance and dribbble, these two platforms really help me when I want to work on a project because they are full of design inspiration and what designs are currently trending.

Steps — Design Steps

When working on a design challenge, I usually have my own way of doing a UI design challenge. When I receive the email given to me, I will do research first as to what is needed in the email and choose functional rather than aesthetic.

After I do research, I usually do low fidelity wireframing. After that, I make a mockup of the wireframe. It doesn’t stop there. After doing all the processes, my main goal is to get feedback from senior designers, such as uploading to LinkedIn and Dribbble, with the aim of improving the design. I’m from the perspective of senior designers.

Design Gallery

OK, now go to my design gallery, I will take some of my top designs and also explain what I made from these designs.

1. SIGN UP

When I took part in the daily UI design challenge, the first challenge message I got was Sign Up. At that time I felt quite confused because I thought I would be given directions but it immediately gave me a challenge and made me have to do more research about UI and that was quite an interesting lesson. .

So why did I create this? I created a Sign Up page for a petshop application for users who find it difficult to log in and register because they tend to use Google, Facebook and Twitter to log in so I provide a solution from the UI using or login with

2. Switch Button On Off

The second design I chose was Button On Off. When I made this button I thought about how I should make it and what purpose should I make this for? After I thought about this, I did research on what users need when using an application or website. and I found that users tend to use dark mode or light modem, therefore I made a design plus prototype about the light/dark mode button.

3. PRODUCT TOUR

The third is a product tour design that I made for users when checking out and wanted to see the important parts of the product, therefore I made a design like in the photo and I also redesigned the checkout product for the Website Scheter Guitar.

4. Final Design

And the fourth and final challenge is where I redesign the design I have made and I choose a landing page to do my redesign. So what am I making this landing page for? I made it for a Vord store website in Indonesia. with the goal that I hope users can shop directly on the website and this design was created to solve this problem. Full Previews

Learning and Reflection

In this journey, I not only produced diverse UI designs, but also learned many new things that shaped my perspective on design. One of the new skills I learned was the ability to integrate the latest trends and latest technology into my designs. Additionally, each design also gives me the opportunity to understand the mistakes I made and learn valuable lessons from them. This challenge significantly influenced my views on UI design, making me more open to experimentation and innovation, and more aware of the importance of user experience in every interaction.

For designers looking to take on a similar challenge, I have a few tips that might be useful. First, set clear and realistic goals for yourself, and don’t hesitate to try new things. Also, don’t be too hard on yourself if you face difficulties or failure; instead use the opportunity as a learning experience. Always be open to feedback from others, and don’t hesitate to seek out additional resources such as online courses, tutorials, and articles to continue improving your skills.
